Estate Planning

Wills

In 2010, Massachusetts adopted the Uniform Probate Code (UPC), streamlining the process of administration of estates.  Take full advantage of the adoptions of the Code to ensure the expedient handling of your estate.  Our office can assist you with creating an estate plan that makes sense for the size of your estate as well as your loved ones current and future financial needs.  It's easier than you think; many times from consultation to Will execution, your estate plan can be in place within a week.

Trusts

Real property held in trust is generally immediately available to loved ones without the necessity of Probate.  Trusts can also provide for long term financial planning for your loved one's, such as children's college tuition funds or long term care for an ailing spouse.

Power of Attorney forms, Living Wills, and Health Care Proxy's can also be prepared in conjunction with preparation of your Estate documents.  These documents allow your family to continue paying the bills and collecting certain forms of income in the event you become incapacitated and also allow the person or people of your choosing to make health care decisions for you in the event you cannot make them for yourself.

Mobile Estate Planning Services

Documents can be brought right to your home, nursing or assisted living facility or even the hospital for completion; emergency services can generally be provided on a same day basis.

Whether your estate is large or small, the Law Office of Gina M. Cummings can assist you in determining the appropriate estate plan to best suit your needs and wishes.
